Please become familiar with these steps prior to ordering iPads.
IPad Ordering Checklist
Please submit a Service Request* with the IT Department Networking Team* to assure that your site has a wireless network that is robust enough to support the use of multiple iPad devices in the locations where they will be used. Identify a site staff member/Tech Lead to assist in the setup and maintenance of the iPads.
Identify site staff member(s) as VPP Facilitator (authorized to purchase Apps from Apple using District funds) AND Institutional AppleID owner (authorized to download Apps from Apple for your Site). Once the Curriculum & Instruction Educational Technology Team (Ed. Tech.) has received the authorization for the individual(s) and their file is updated with that information, the IT Help Desk knows they can reveal the passwords to those named in this document: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AorskGiD1rzddDNKNkUtYUY4UGRMX3NxcTZQWktkSmc&usp=sharing#gid=0
After staff have been identified in the Ed. Tech. document above, request the Facilitator and AppleID Account passwords not less than a week before your iPad delivery/installation date by submitting a service request ticket at http://help.sfusd.edu or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org .

If you will be using PAID in addition to free Apps, be sure to order a Voucher from Apple in order to purchase and download them from iTunes.
Remember to order the protective cases, keyboards and headphones.
