How do I enter my time in EMPowerSF?

The timesheet is the District’s official document of an employee’s attendance/absence for time reporting purposes. All SFUSD employees have direct access to their own timesheet starting January 3, 2022. Timesheets allow us to see the ‘full picture’ that includes schedules, gross pay and time off. It also allows us to eliminate dual entry in paper logs.

WHO is responsible for entering time?

Employees are responsible for entering their own time in their own timesheet. Direct access to timesheets allow for real self-service and improve accuracy as data will be entered directly from the source.

HOW frequently must time be entered?

Daily entry or same day input allows for real-time reporting and monitoring.

For employees with a concurrent assignment:

If an employee has, in addition to their regular assignment, a supplemental assignment such as Paraeducator, Driver Safety, etc., it is necessary for the employee to enter work hours for both the regular assignment and the supplemental assignment. The employee will have a separate timesheet for each additional assignment.
